Welcome to the 16th Purley scout group, offering opportunities and life skills to about 70 boys and girls aged 6-14. The group is made up of one Scout Troop, one Cub pack and one Beaver colony. Based in Sanderstead, we meet at our HQ at the centre of the village, as well as making good use of the nearby Gruffy.
Camps, hikes and days out are organised throughout the year by the sections. Each year, we have an annual summer camp for a week for both Scouts and Cubs. Beavers have the opportunity to join us for one day. Members of the sections work to complete badges and awards with the aim of achieving the highest available award for their section.
Although we have a long friendship with All Saints Church, we own and look after our own HQ and all our members make the promise most meaningful to them.
New members are always welcome-so please get in contact if you have any questions or would like to come along to see what it is all about!! Many of our members are from the local schools, so you are bound to know someone!
